...don't cry because I'm dead, rejoice because I am alive!

Even though I'm not involved with facebook, aunt Dorothy was kind enough to share a link to the pics of the weekend she posted there. :)

Those are some of the lines to Grandma Ellen's poem that was read during our family gathering in rememberence of her life. Indeed Grandma is alive and her life is evident in many ways through her family. There was so much love present in this family gathering. It was indeed the most beautiful memorial I have attended.

We gathered in the white sand duns near Las Cruces New Mexico. It was breath taking! As one can see from the photographs we are all fond of "documentation" between all of us we snapped more pictures to make a movie! We played, photographed the scenes and then gathered on the sands to share our memories of Grandma. After the recitation of an Indian poem (her only request upon her death) we each took turns to scatter her ashes. The remaining ashes will be scattered in the Sierras as well as kept within the family.

I love you all and thank God for such a loving family!

Leilani and Reed

One of the reasons I love life so much is because of my friends and family. When I met this gal (Lei) I for sure knew I wanted to be friends with her! Boy those ward missionary companion days were great! It was great preparation for the mission. Anyhow I love Lei and Reed, they are such a great couple, and boy can I laugh with them! We spent a great evening with Patricia and Danny (Lei's sister in alw and brother) and their fam. We had yummy food and great fun! Can't wait to meet their first baby! (due May)

Lorraine's Bautismo

Lorraine- it was my honor to be a part of your Baptism. What a magnificent promise you've made! What a neat experience to attend post-mission life.

Building a FORT

Boy do I love this little girl! We have had some great times together

Our recent adventure... the livign room FORT! We read one of Anali's Sueuss favorites and of course had a yummy mid-night snack: grapes and apples (prepared by Anali.) She is such a fun little girl. Well not so big any more, she just turned a whole 8 years old! Wow the days of one digit years.

....I extend my thanks to Webster's Dictionary and all of Tere's college Physch texts that helped support our fort.
